we're not confident. we want to look good. we want to like what we see as images of ourselves.

It can be that of a clerk who insignificantly performs his duty in some dark office.

These are lines from the first play I was a part of. It was about extracting the truth from someone's mind by judging their face.These lines make sense in context. If we are veiwed as functions in a society we don't say much. Either we fit in or don't. Thats how our college likes to look at us, doesn't it?; 9:42 am
