"breakups make for some great writing opportunities"
someone told me recently. do they? really? without being either run-of-the-mill? or sob-story?
or thank-god-its-over? i don't want it to sound like "any break up". it isn't "any" breakup (never is when its your own).
"comfortably numb"
is what it feels like
..but a little less comfortable
...and a little ness numb
if you know what i mean.

ideally, all breakups should, at the heart of it, be the same:
a tribute to what was, and a hope that life will be better for both of us after this.
